In the heart of the Bordeaux vineyards, Chateau Carbonneau is only 20 kilometres from St Emilion and 35 kilometres from Bergerac in the Perigord. Ideally suited for visitors wishing to combine wine, sight seeing and gastronomy, the Chateau offers bed and breakfast accommodation in a unique setting on the slopes of Pessac sur Dordogne.
Built in the 19th Century, the Chateau has five bedrooms available. Each room is individually decorated with care. Guests can take their breakfast or simply relax on the large south-facing terrace or in the exceptional Napoleon III conservatory. A large swimming pool is also available to guests as is play equipement for younger children.
The chateau is surrounded by 15 hectares of vineyard planted on clay/limestone soil (red wine under the appellation of Sainte Foy Bordeaux and Bordeaux Rosé). Wilfrid and Jacquie are only too pleased to take you on a visit of the winery and the vineyard as well as giving you the opportunity to taste the wine from the property, winner of the "Best Of international" given by the Great Wine Capitals Network
And to make your stay all the more welcoming, Jacquie who is a New Zealander and Wilfrid who is French are able to greet you, advise you on places to see, wineries to visit and fill you in on the history of the area all in English, French and German.
