Donjon de Pons
Pons is a medieval city situated in Haute Saintonge that has managed to safeguard its glorious past : the Tower that dominates the town , the city walls, the St Vivien church, the St Gilles chapel and the Pilgrim's hospital are all perfectly presrved 12th century monuments.
Today the hospital has been fully restored. The large ward and the medieval garden are now just as described by Aimery Picaut in the 13th century.
