Manoir de Clairbois
Less than 10 km south-east from Tours, nestled between the river Cher and the chalky hills of the Loire valley, is this elegant house built in the 18th and 19th centuries. The old style charm of this richly decorated manor and the unaffected hospitality of its owners make Clairbois an ideal place to enjoy your journey to the Loire valley.
Guests have the choice of three guestrooms - too large bedrooms (the Flowers Room and the Birds Room) and one suite, each with double beds and modern bathrooms. The suite has two rooms - the Roses Room and the Television Room (which can be also used as a separate bedroom) ; both rooms directly overlook the park.
During summer months, visitors gather on the terrace of the Manor and around the large swimming pool (13x6 meters).
There are two restaurants at walking distance from the Manor, one a country grill that serves simple but tasty meals, the other a renowned gourmet restaurant specializing in sweet water fish.
