Réserve Naturelle de Saint-Denis-du-Payré
This nature reserve on the protected wet grasslands is home to around 120 species of wild birds each year. Here they find the ideal conditions which are essential to their survival. You can see them on a tour starting at the Visitor Centre in the village, with its slide show, its displays on the story of the wetlands and its birdwatching tower.
You can then go out onto the reserve itself, where a pathway on stilts takes you to an observatory equipped with telescopes and seats, where a naturalist guide is on hand. Access for persons with impaired mobility.
